It Was Nothing More Than a GameA Chapter by Mirjana Ilic
Her heart had been tossed around and shattered. She managed to put it back into a figure similar to what it had been before. After that everyone new became a game, it meant nothing to her anymore. She didn't care about love, she was playing for herself.
She told him this was to be nothing serious. They were playing around, this way no one would get hurt. If he couldn't handle it she would move on, find another to play with just as she did him. He hesitated but agreed, unable to back down from a challenge. She looked into his green eyes and watched a fire spark, starting the games. She played well but turned her back every time he asked for more than she could supply. The fire in his eyes did little to warm her cold heart. Until one day she saw him and he continued on his way without anything more than a sorry glance. He choose to quit the game, or at least that's what she thought. The clench she had had on the situation and on her feelings slipped down her tired fingers and crashed to the soil. She watched him walk away, wondering what it was about him that made her feel that draining feeling in the pit of her stomach. It was nothing more than a game after all.
