To the Nomad Girl

To the Nomad Girl

A Poem by MiriamMB

the human body is not a house well

the water is often poisoned

or harboring a great,

dead thing

at the bottom.

Don't build your home next to it.

If you must drink,

Smell the water for rot

sip lightly, taste for bitterness,

thank the giver kindly.

journey on.
