There's a Place We Go to Find YouA Story by MiriamMBsometimes I want to meet someone I admire and have communication be smooth, and have them not mind my shyness. I want to share stories with people. There's a place we go to find you between deep sleep and shallow breaths,
there, you see us we're so shy, but you are brave and we offer our gracious hands as canvases for your paint, a thank you for your open arms and warm gaze, you offer mellifluous words to cool our hearts sweet, it was a long hard road to get to you.
You tell us your true name we repeat it quietly, under our breath, you are a new language, and when we speak your name, blue jasmine spring from our tongues.
We tell you our three names, and you let each one sit in your mouth. when you speak them, softly, your breath smells of ylang ylang.
We spend the night telling each other stories we tell you the places we stopped to rest our feet, you tell us which fruit growing in your city is the sweetest, we tell you of a place where the rain never stops, you promise to show us your favorite book shop.
We spend the night sharing stories between each other The room we share is a pungent bouquet.
