Spring Migration

Spring Migration

A Poem by MiriamMB
"

The thirst is strong in this one....

"

Spring is coming,

and as soon as my wings have healed

I will soar over the mountains

beating against the dry air

fly until the air smells and tastes of salt,

land quietly on your window sill

disrobe my feathered gown

for one night

to become the long legged

girl in your bed

and when I've thoroughly slaked my thirst

I will ride the wind back to my nest

on the city below the mountains.
