Name

Name

A Poem by MiriamMB
"

losing interest in life affects those who love you.

"

His name was king

mi dc

makuma toffee

the first year I learned

to wrap my tongue around your honeycomb heart

and gorge on honey

when my world was bitter bile

today, your ghost wanders my mind

though I do not know how to summon you

I lost your name on

the journey between my teeth

and the roof of my mouth

there is a briny ocean between us

and I can’t remember the way back

to find your name again.
