Tales of Rocks and CrystalsA Poem by RocketshipTammyInspried by a bag of polished rocks and crystals that I have from Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe in downtown Seattle. From
clear to murky, Sparkling
to muted, Every
rock has a story, A
song to sing. Polished
to rough, Monochrome
to rainbow, Every
crystal is a beauty, A
tale to tell. Some
speak of oceans, Of
tides pulling in and out, Of
the great sea’s deep blue water, Everlasting
and free. Others
of deep mountain caves, Of
wilderness and mines, Of
weathered rocks and many seasons, Time
passing through the ages. And
even more, of fantasy, A
brightness not seen on Earth, Places
only the imagination can reach, Boundless
as an artist’s soul. Whether
with parchment and quill, Pen
and paper, Everything
has a story, And
all stories need to be told. © 2012 RocketshipTammyAuthor's Note
