Eureka!!!

Moments of inspiration, ruined.

Have you ever had a moment,

A brief one in your life,

When inspiration hits you,

Pulling a spark out of your strife?

 

This has happened to many before,

Although alas, never to me,

But to offer hope to the rest of you

Let me share some unknown history.

 

Archimedes was a clever chap,

but had difficulty understanding mass,

To clear his head of all his woes

He decided to take a bath.

 

He filled it up right to the top

and sunk into the blue,

and as the water overflowed

He had his final clue.

 

"The water which has spilt out my tub..."

He cleverly surmised

"...Will be exactly the same quantity

to match my entire body size!!!"

 

He stood up naked from his bath,

"Eureka" he started screaming,

His wife then shouted from the room below,

"You B*****d, you've wrecked the ceiling!"

 

So learn from this and remember well

The next time you get struck,

That pure inspiration is a wonderful thing,

But beware, it may bring bad luck!
