Waiting for Money

Waiting for Money

A Poem by Mip/John K. Brierley
"

Poetry needs no description but it's title.

"
I'm waiting for money
It's funny
I'm helping people but honestly
My steep debts to the world
Are at the core of why I come here
If I could I'd steer clear of these needles
I hate the way they feel
Steel in my veins
It's insane to think about
We both put our smiles on and lie to each other
You're saving lives
We both know I just want the money
It's funny
I was born cunning but I'm so broke I save lives
Helluva rise from my past
Time runs by so fast
The fun never lasts
If stress had a temperature I'd melt steel
I feel the claws of fate around me
I see so many endings
I wish I could fend for myself
I don't like needing help

Great writing, I am surmising that you are contributing at a blood bank for money. Well I am a firm believer that honest money is better than stolen money any day. Life will get better if you don't bleed out. I have been so low I had to look up to see my feet, but I made it topside again. Great write, stay honest.
