Part FourA Chapter by Marcy Chavez
A month has passed and I continued going with the same work routine. Only that my two week vacation was getting closer and I still couldn't decide where I wanted to go or if I wanted to stay in the city.
That afternoon I went out for a walk, only this time I was alone. After jogging for a while I decided to sit on a bench and to my surprise Richard appeared and greeted me. He seemed to be on his day out because he was wearing sports clothing. "Hey Marcy". He greeted me with his charming smile, a charming smile that was turning so dangerous for me as I find him extremely handsome. "Hello Richard, what a surprise!". I told him hoping he won't notice how bad I was blushing. "Well I came to jog a little, as a fireman I have to stay fit". "I know, so you usually come to this park?" "Yes, I mean you never know when someone is gonna jump into the lake to go after their pet and is good that a fireman is near just in case, don't you think?". Know I didn't know If he was being sarcastic or if he was trying to be charming, like if that smile wasn't enough, now he seemed to be interested in me, so I just smiled at him. "And where is Jester?". He asked me looking around the bench. "He is kind of sick, I don't know maybe he ate something he shouldn't have" "I'm sorry to hear that, just make sure he drinks plenty of water" "I will, thanks a lot for the tip" "This time you did say thanks to me so I guess you won't have to come back to the station anymore huh?". " I don't know maybe I would like to visit sometime". I told him smiling at him. It was incredible how the chemistry between us seemed to flow. It was like we could tell how we feel to each other just with our eyes. What he told me next left me totally shocked. "You have beautiful eyes, is the color natural?". This time I had no doubt I was blushing like never before, but It was the perfect time to tell him about his charming smile. Was I really falling for someone I barely knew? After all he was the first guy in years who told me he liked something about me, and he made me remember how it felt to be loved.
