broken birdy

Once upon a time, there was a little bird,
a lost, cold, hurt little beauty.
her eyes shined brighter than a pearl,
Flying through a path clueless, but freely.

then the little birdie bumped into a cage,
a bit dark, but a warm and cozy place,
slowly slipping into its range.
the little birdie thought it could stay for days.

a strange bumping sound hit her ears,
flying curiously the little one decided,
as closer she got as less got her fears,
A broken heart; she found abandoned.

Said the beauty with an embrace,
i'm here to brighten your sky,
the little heart's beats started to race.

A few days later the heart got cured,
but a curse on the birdie will remain,

Tied to the heart the birdie was chained,

But it didn't frighten the little one not a bit,
as she sat beside it singing,
deep rooted love both of them have felt,
with the sound of her voice the heart is breathing.

selfishly the heart had spoken
whispered the beautiful birdie "yours forever"
