I usually start my poem with here I am or here I stand
but this time I’ll be starting with your name
about “Noura” who’s always around
but this poem won’t be the same

I always mention what you are to me
I always tell you how happy you make me feel
now its my turn to show you what I’m gonna be
with some simple words yet so real

I’ll always be there for you
no matter what happens
I’ll bring you smiles through your blue
no matter how bad the situation is

you’re not just a friend
also, not only the best one
you’re my cure my medicine
you’re my life’s brightest sun

and I’ll be your moon to guide your way
in your darkest deepest nights
I’ll hold your hand and I’ll say
I’m with you through all the fights

I’ll be the hand that picks you when you fall
I’ll be the shoulder that lifts you
with you I’ll be through it all
I’ll even be your wind too!

I’ll be everything you’re surrounded by
even the night’s stars
to show you the truth through the lies
no matter where you are

leaving you alone I’ll never
I’m forever I promise
