Staring at the pictures

Staring at the pictures

A Poem by Minnie Mouse
"

they begged him not to go..

"

All the sweet thing,

sugar, candy, and lots of more,

this cute little girl with bows in her hair,

sits and stares at the wall,

dreaming of what she loves most of all,

she wishes to see him again,

she also remembers what happened that fall,

her daddy never really came home,

his promisses were broken,

but this time she had to forgive him,

after all,

it isnt nice to be mad at what's not ever there anymore,

he said he'd be safe,

instead she had to mourn him,

mommy and her begged him not to go,

but he reffused their calls,

he showed up home, but in spirt,

now she sees him in pictures on her wall,

staring at what she loves most of all.

:( Awww. This is such a sad poem; it gave me chills. Did the father willingly leave the mother and daughter behind, or did he pass away? The reader can take this piece several ways, but the ending emotions are still the same, either way. Much different from the rest of the pieces you have written. This one has a darker, sadder tone. Just as great! Love it. Look forward to reading more from you.
