Farm Haiku

Farm Haiku

A Poem by Shaun Rudie
"

Five Haiku from my last visit to the homestead

"
Cornfield

fog grey silhouettes
tattered tassel green, rising
morning life anew

contemplate

sleep hovering close
mind a placeholder for dream
I contemplate me

sun and cloud

cloud spots covering
teasing morning sunlight I
know radiant ache

clover

purple clover head
stubby soldiers among fine,
elegant green blade

mosquito

damp morning flyers
mosquitos bump my window
an out-of-reach-me
