waiting

waiting

A Poem by Shaun Rudie

I'm waiting

in this field of color

I create

can't create you,

an image, thought of

you, memory of your

scent, touch,

but you …I don't

know what

you're going to say

next

  that thrills me

I play memory,

shape you in my

colors

it is dishonest, but

pleasant

I wait…and you come

warming me

my colors glow

then you are gone

off to warm another

it's okay,

I have things to

do, worlds to

form, detailed,

mystery rich

.

.

though I would

enjoy you as

my sun
