Fairy Glee

Fairy Glee

A Poem by Shaun Rudie

look at me

down here in this

puddle

with bright wings

I splash about,

scare the birds

I glow when

excited

seeing you I

am a tiny

sun

I light your

step, but

you light my

world

This is light as a feather! I enjoyed the read, and glad you let me know that this wasn't a bird through title and "scare the birds" line. Fav line: "seeing you I/am a tiny/sun. I agree this is playful. But also full of promise!
I read it again and realized that "down here in this/puddle/with bright wings really sets up a contrast, and perhaps is the center of this piece. Like in the middle of a lull, or even a depression, something bright glows... nice write.
