we are

we are

A Poem by Shaun Rudie

we are such

silly things

wanting, needing,

expressions of

opposites

powerful, subtle, gross

shaped of anger, envy,

love

so much time passes

before we realize just

how little we are

and then it's a race 'tween

the greatest contradictions

of all:

life

death

Your gift it is to say much with few words! I smiled, I see myself here, and life here, and the circle of it all. You have it cinched.
