Reaper

Reaper

A Poem by Shaun Rudie

mayhem brought me

a crowning achievement in

my awkwardness (youth has its

own flame)

odd how red on steel begs my

attention

a splash of color from the slit

in my side

at least be kind to wipe of your

blade, I’d prefer my death unannounced

you are kind

reaper

but oh

cold
