first true love

this was a short story for my Brother Nate.

The phone rings I walk over and pick up the phone. “Hey Bub, what is up?

“Sis thank gods your there. I need you so bad right now”

“wow wow wow hold up there bub, What is going on?”

“I have a date to night and I really like this gir-”
“Ok bub stop right there” I cut him off. “I am on my way.”

I jump in to the car and rushed right over to his house I jumped out of the car and went into his house. He was standing there with His favorite black long sleeved button up shirt on, with blue boxers on. Luke and Okey was setting in the other side of the room playing Magic the gathering.

“Sis Help?”
“Bub, where's your pants?”

“Right here.”

“Why don't you put them on?”

“Because I don't know they don't look right with my lucky shirt.”

“Put them on and let me see.”

He puts the pants on and show me. They looked good to me.

“They look fine to me bub.”

“Are you sure Sis you have to make me look perfect for this date tonight.”

“Bub go shave your face.”

He goes to the bathroom so he can shave. I go and set down by Luke, and watch him and Okey play. Luke was winning with his army of the dammed. Nate walks back in the room.

“Mindy I am so flipping out right now.”

“Bub calm down.”

“I can't sis just help me.”

“I would if I could bub but I can't”

“Help me!”

“What do you want me to do bub go on your date with you?”

“No that would be weird sis”

“Then what do you want me to do bub? Have Me and Luke to go on a date tonight and just so happen to meet up with you all at the same movie?”
“Yes.”

“Luke?”

“Yeah Mindy?”

“Get dressed we are going to the movies tonight.”

“Ok let me take Okey down with my army.”

Nate leaves the house to go get his date. He pulls up to her house. There was a dog barking in the back yard. He walks slowly, and knocks on her door. She opens the door, Her hair flows back away from her faces with the wind blowing around her.

She smiles at him. “Hey Nate, Let me get my purse and I will be ready to go.” She walked a way and came back with her purse.

“You ready to go baby.”

“Yeah lets go.”

“You look very nice tonight, Ashley.”

“Thank you, so what do you have planed for us tonight?”

He opens the door to the car for her and she gets and he closes the door behind her and goes around and gets in to the driver side. “I thought maybe going to a movie and then going to get takeout and maybe going to my favorite place ever.”

“Why don't we get takeout then go to your favorite place.”

Meanwhile at the movie theater, well Nate and Ashley goes to get take out.

“Where is Nate?”

“Don't worry Luke, Nate will be here before to long.” looks away for him, “He better be.”

“Mindy,” I turns back to Luke and look at him. “The movie is about to start lets go get our sets.”

“Ok I will text Nate when where in there before the movie starts.”

I take out my cell and text Nate. 'Nate, Where are you? The Movie is about to start.'

Nate and his date go and get some Chinese food and drives to Nate's favorite place. Where no one can see them. There he gets out and goes and opens the door well his cell phone in side goes off. Ashley reaches over and picks it up off the driver set, well Nate opens the door for Ashley.

“Nate your cell went off you have a text for someone named Mindy. Should I be worried?”

“Oh no baby you shouldn't Mindy is just a friend.”

“ok babe”

“Come on baby this way.” He takes her hand and helps her out of the car then grabs the takeout food. They walk down a path to a little place where there was a blanket Lied out on the grown.

They set down on to the blanket, and start eating there food. Thirty Minuets went by, and they was setting there chatting about everything. Nate leans in and brushes his lips against Ashleys. Ashley pulls back from him.

“I'm sorry, I just thought that was what you wanted.”

“I just want to know, If you mean this or not?”

“Ashley I really like you, and I want to be with you.” She leans back in and kisses him softly.

“I want to be with you to Nate, but it is time for you to get me home, if you want to take me out again.”

“Ok lets pick up here.”

They start picking everything up and put it in the garbage and headed to the car. Walking down the path and Ashley trips and falls, Nate rushes back to her.

“Ashley are you ok?”

She trys getting up and then sets back down.“No it is my ankle I hurt it when I fell.”

Nate picks her up in to his arms and carries her the rest of the way to the car. He opens the door slowly kicking it back with his foot so that he wouldn't drop her, and slowly putting her in to the set of the car. Making sure he didn't hit her head off the side of the car. Then he starts driving her back to her house.

Meanwhile at the movie theater where the movie was ending. Luke and I was walking to the car.

“Where was that dum a*s? I mean really you took me to this movie for him and he don't show up.”

“Luke, babe calm down we hadn't been out in forever just me and you it was good for us.”

“Still Mindy, it wasn't right for him to pull that s**t.”

“Well at less we have our own car this time and we are not stuck here waiting for him.” We go and get in the car and drive off.

Nate pulls up into the drive way of Ashley's house, He gets out and go and opens her door. He helps he out as she trys to stand on her foot.

“Do you got it love?”

“Yeah I am ok, I need to put phrase on it.”

“Ok here let me put my arm around you so I have you if you go to fall.”

They walk slowly to the door when Ashleys mom walks out and see that Ashley was walking kinda funny. “Ashley what happened to you.”

“Oh nothing mom, I just hurt my ankle.”

“Oh goodness, here Nate get here to the porch so that I can see it.”

“Here baby set down here.”

“Ashley show me your ankle.” Ashleys mom looks at her ankle. “Oh my lets get you in side and get that iced so that, Thank you nate I can take care of her from here. Come on hunny.”

“I'll call you Nate.” She got up off the porch and walked in side slowly.

Nate went back to the car, and got in he looked at his cell phone and seen the text he had from Mindy. Nate texts Mindy's cell 'Mindy, I am sorry about everything. I am heading home. I hope you are there I have a lot and I mean a lot to tell you.' He starts the car and drives off heading to the house. He pulls up to the house and sees Mindy Luke and Okey out in the yard Larping.

“Sis your still here we need to talk now.”

“We will see who will win the queens hart.”

Luke and Okey take off after him. I couldn't them hurt Nate so I had to stop them before hand, even though I was mad at him anyways. Me and Nate walked in to the house and set down in the living room.

“You was right everything went great. She Loved seeing this side of me and also she wants to go out again sometime. Oh and sorry I didn't come to the movies she wanted to go to my spot and eat first. she said she would call me tomorrow. It was just so perfect. I though for sure that I seen fire works when we kissed.”

“What Nate your in love? Never thought that would happen.”

“I know right.... Oh wait... HEY!”

“Oh bub you know I love ya.”

“Anyways bub tell me about the kiss.”

“Well I went in and try and to kiss her, and she pulled back. She asked me if I really wanted to be with her pretty much I don’t really remember how it went really, and then she leaned in and kissed me and told me that she wanted to be with me.”

“Oh good bub, I am so happy to hear that. You all have liked each other for way to long and you all should so be together forever.”

“Welcome bub lets go tell the kingdom. That it is time to start the games.”

We was Larping almost all night and when we wasn't larping we was playing Magic the Gathering. The morning came and we was all past out in the living room. Then Nates phone rings. He picks it up well all of us look at him in hate.

“Hello?”

“Yeah I was but, it's fine. Hows your ankle?”

Everyone in the living room that was awake now all got up. Luke and Okey went to bed. I got up and went to talk a shower. I could hear Nate talking to Ashley in the living room.

“I love you baby. I hope that it will be better by next weekend. I want to take you out again.”

They hang up the phone and I walk out and look at Nate setting there.

“Sorry I woke you up sis.”

“It is fine. What happened to Ashleys ankle?”

“Oh I didn't tell you about that last night did I?”

“No, you didn't.”

“She fell last night and hurt her ankle when I was taking her home.”

“Oh I see I see.”

The week seemed like it was going on forever to Nate all he wanted was to see Ashley and to hold her in his arms and kiss her sweetly. He couldn't stand it any longer, on that warm Tuesday night. He got in his car and drove to her house.

He leans over and kisses her slowly and then looks in to her eyes. “Love you. I want to be with you for the rest of my life.”

When her mother shut the door and went back in to her room Nate walked back in and Kissed his sweet Ashley good night. Then he drove home with a smile on his face. 

As He was driving he didn't see the stop sine and a truck hit him in the side. My cell phone rings, I pick it up not seeing the number on it. "Hello."

"Yes, Is this Mindy McCourt. Nate Payne's sister."

"Yes It is who may I ask Is calling."

"This is Tiffany from the hospital."

"I was calling to let you know that he got in to a car wrack and a truck hit him."

"Oh my god, Is he ok?"

"Well I didn't want to tell you this over the phone but her is dead."

Author's Note

He isn't dead though he just made me mad so I killed him in the story.
