The Power of Realization

The Power of Realization

A Poem by Feelgood

When you look at me,

Why do i scare you?

When you look at me...

Why do you cry?

Nothing's so hard,

That we couldn't've figured it out.

But instead of open arms,

I got painful shards.

Ripping,

Tearing...

I scream...I shout...

Leaving open scars, bleeding out.

With weeping flesh,

My pleas go unnoticed.

How could you think,

I would've chose this?

Battered and beaten,

I limped along.

Everyday searching,

For a better song.

Alas...

It was never heard.

My life decayed-

I quietly lived

Behind the fray.

But today I make

A simple choice:

I will no longer live

Behind this voice.

I will become,

What you could never be;

Because i finally realized:

You are me!

So what you think

You've come to see,

You have to question:

Is it thee?

All the s**t found wallowing

In despair-

You'll suddenly find

Was never there.

The power of realization

Can hold the key.

The strength of actualization

Could set me free.

So angels!

So demons!

Let me be!

I am the one,

To turn this key.

The door it opens,

Could strike terror.

But at least I could say

It was my own f*****g error.

So silence your help

And relieve your voice.

Please let me make-

My simple choice.
