UnlinkedA Screenplay by ChekThis was my take on a darker rendition of Zelda where Link isn't a selfless hero until the end. If I go back to this I'll keep the premise but in no way would it be associated with Zelda.
EXT. FIELD - DAY
The grey sky covers the field and sun. Lava cracks scar the land of wilted grass. A guard in dark clothes on horseback lead several slaves and another guard. The slaves shuffle with chains around each others wrists, ankles, and necks. One slave in the center stands tall. LINK, mid 20's, independent hero, marches with tired eyes. Fresh scars are seen across his neck and legs. He wears a filthy tunic with a shredded back of scars and cloth. The guard at the back of the line uncoils a whip and strikes Link's legs. Link stumbles and remains firm. Link faces the guard as a whip strikes across his cheek. Blood seeps down his cheek. The front guard turns perpendicular to the slave line. His whip drops down. Both guards wrap their whips around Link's leg and neck. The whips pull taught. Link falls and braces his fall. The guard behind the pack pulls out a knife and marches. Link yanks his chains. A slave falls into the guard. The guard shoves him off as Link grasps the guards knife slitting his throat. The front guard unsheathes his sword and drops from his stead. The guard's whip misses Link's head and wraps around his wrists. Link grabs the whip and pulls the guard toward him. The guard falls and stands. His sword slashes Link's stomach. Link jolts the knife into the guard's back. The guard swings and Link blocks the sword with his chain. He wraps the chain around the guards neck and chokes him. The guard falls limp. Link searches the guard and grabs the keys. He unlocks his restraints. He rips his clothes and wraps his stomach. He tosses the keys to the slaves and walks off. © 2015 ChekAuthor's Note
