"Alchemy" is fine for a song title - there are many songs that have a title that is not mentioned anywhere in the song (if this were a song and became popular though it would probably be called the 'Want you to know song" by the wider public and 'Alchemy' by fans and DJs only. lol

It is a bit all over the place - most songs have a certain structure/layout but then when it seems like all the popular songs in a given period have the same structure, along comes one that re-writes the book. Such as 'Somebody that I used to know' by Gotye !!

I liked the end - the conflict and the hope is there providing for a resolution - closure

It could definitely be a good song with work. It reminded me of 'So Lonely" by The Police - can't say why exactly so here are the lyrics to that - maybe you can see why
