Dying

Dying

A Poem by Mina

I empathize, therefore,
Sacrifice much more
than I desire.
Pleasure comes in
Waves of my lover's
Laughter- if sadness,
I cry despite...
The anger fired at my
Mind, the f**k you's,
The not so kind
B***H heard over
Over again...
Just forget it -says
 my heart, my friend.
Empaths never curse,
Meaning sending
Negative to equal beings...
So I must pray, meditate,
Sacrifice much more
Than I ever felt I could.
What binds us to love
Is the feeling,
But what does one hold
on to...
When the other is
Slowly dying?

The words told a sad story in the poetry.
"So I must pray, meditate,
Sacrifice much more
Than I ever felt I could.
What binds us to love "
The above lines are true and we will know often in a long life. Living or dying. We must lead with kindness and concern. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

True empaths have it really hard and the speaker seems to exhibit the symptoms of such, love is a rainbow and/or an anchor dragging them down to the depths depending on the state of others and yet like a survivor of the Titanic they hang on to bits of their lover even though they can see their demise in the future with the ship. Not a nice way to go. Wonderfully penned.
