Who am I?

Who am I?

A Poem by Mina
"

Written when I felt lost, and wanted to explore the commonly asked question, who am I?

"
I try hard not to lie to myself.
But how do I know who I am?
If I am infinite, as the universe,
I'm always changing.
If the universe is good and evil,
So am I.
But without me to judge
From what is good,
From what is evil,
They would just exist, equally, right?
So I'm partially made up of thoughts,
Mostly arranged into meanings,
Commonly seen by the seer,
In the way which they understand things.
So who am I besides the opinions of others?
Who am I, my secrets, my thoughts?
All unknown but  exist in my conscious
For what purpose, other than to be thought?
Most the universe exists in thoughts,
Which are dreamt up existing collectively,
The hidden mind is universe's subconscious,
A nonphysical world kept in secrecy.
Not to be spoken,
never acted upon,
Left unopened.
Only felt on dimensions that are beyond,
Where fear is incapable of penetrating.
So I am all the dreams you've dreamt of,
The thoughts that angered you were mine.
I am as beautiful as you make of me,
As clear as your eyes will openly see.
I am a mystery,
Full of chaos,
A touch of grace.
But most of all,
I am not your expectations,
I am not god.

I liked this poem. I rarely look at myself. Too old and too many layers.
"I am a mystery,
Full of chaos,
A touch of grace.
But most of all,
I am not your expectations,
I am not god."
I did like the above lines. Good to be all those things and know. We cannot be God. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
