SHATTERED DOWN

The moment she woke up

before she put her make up

she thought she would change 

but it couldn't help her arrange.

 

She just walked brick past brick 

taking every breath which made her sick.

She was the person who had been lost

walking past the bridges she had to cross.

 

The drug she had taken had taken her life 

that stabbed her like a dagger or a knife.

A promise of hope had shattered her

which made her start living in a blur.

When the ride left her dizzy 

and life was such a blur

there was no difference between

who she is and who she were.

Behind her smile was a hurting heart.

Behind her laugh she was falling apart.

Look closely at her 

and you would see

the girl she was 

wasn't her...
