Why, I ask?

 

Why is it so hard to write poems?

They’re just small compositions of writing.

And they’re smaller than stories or books.

But, why? Why are they hard to think of?

Maybe it’s because chickens are better at it...

Your piece begs the question so...allow me:
A poem does not depend on length...or size...or height or breadth
It doesn't have to be about life or death.
It's not essential that it offers rhyme
Throughout the page
Or at every other line
You might try for some meter...a beat
That'd be neat!
But here's the thing you should recall:
It should have grace and form.
That's all!
