In My WellspringA Poem by Millionth MuseSheets of paper, characters in black ink, words, lines, perceptions scored indelibly as if sketched in concrete I visualize my mind on parchment, shredded and pieced back together like shadows pretending to be tangible shapes These pages force me to exhaustion, whittle me down to a sliver of myself and yet quelling the deluge is categorically impossible Raindrops shower rooftops, and somewhere a dog howls blind beneath the swollen moon, but I live here in my wellspring unable to swim to the surface © 2010 Millionth MuseReviews
