The teleportation point of the portal should have been in the capital city of Reodonne kingdom, Ortone city. But the portal has teleported me into the forest. I wonder, is there a problem with the portal...?

Then Lillianna went toward the explosion sounds, exited from the bush and stopped before a big glade and looked sideways.

The whole glade was full of injured and disappearing monsters. The healthy monsters tried to run away from the glade, but they didn't manage to since they were attacked by magical attacks before they could go.

...It seems that this spot was a den of these monsters...

And someone worn them out really good...

Then Lillianna observed the attacks, and ascertained that they come from above.

Then she looked above and was really surprised.

Soaring above the woods was a 9 years old looking girl, with orange hair and light blue eyes, who killed the local monsters (Slugs and huge bats) with strange magic attacks.

She was wearing a strange looking robe.

She also had a strange staff in her hands, which Lillianna never saw before.

...I never would have thought that a 9 years old looking human girl would fight all of these monsters so effectively...

I think I better help her, and then ask where I currently am.

Then Lillianna also started to attack the monsters, using the "Light touch" spell.

Since I am a daughter of the city's of angels’ leader, I was taught self-defense since I was a child. Seeing my natural ability for magic, my father hired a good teacher, that would explain to me the theory of magic and the using of effective strategies and magic attacks. I was also told that I can use magic without chanting the spell, and just by calling the spell name aloud.

I wonder why...?

Because the castle has a good security, I was told that knowing one magic attack would be enough for me. That is why "Light touch" is the only spell I know. It makes a column of light, which drops on the enemy from the sky, dealing big damage to it.

This is one of the attacks that can be used only when equipping a magical bracelet and I like it a lot.

To make her point, Lillianna attacked the bat with the spell.

The bat is magical type monster while the slug is a physical type monster. The whole area has pairs of those 2 types of monsters. Both of them are half aggravate, and the moment one of them is attacked, the second monster attacks the attacker right away. That is why it is more effective to attack the bat first, kill it, and then attack the approaching slug.

Then Lillianna continued to attack the monsters from the earth, while sneaking in the areas far from their sigh range (since mages have low physical and magical defense it is vital to not be surrounded). In the same the strange girl continued to attack the monsters from the sky. When Lillianna killed another monster, she noticed that she was surrounded by a bright light. Then the light disappeared and Lillianna feel herself stronger.

...Could this be the "Level up" that I learned in magic theory...?

I really do feel myself stronger.

It seems like I just got 7 skill points. I will put them in "Formal Armor Equipping".

It also seems that I also got 3 stat points in every stat, and 4 more stat points for adding. I think it would be better to just put them in Intelligence, since as a mage, I have to kill monsters before they would be able to approach and attack me. My magical bracelet is also level 2 now. It is really good that it is an evolving type weapon.

Then Lillianna noticed that the strange girl has started to land on the ground (Her staff has disappeared somewhere, and on her neck was an amulet that Lillianna never saw before). When the girl landed before Lillianna and smiled.

-Good day, my name is Nanoha[M1] .- The girl said. It seems that she knows manners. Lillianna thought. Of course I thought that...It is my POV after all...wait, what is a "POV" anyway...?

-Thank you for helping me defeat the monsters. There were so much of them, that I thought I would be overwhelmed at some point.

-Hello Nanoha. My name is Lillianna.-Lillianna said. Sigh. Me, being from a famous family (and my father's teachings), disabled me from talking in a more mannered way to people. - I wanted to teleport to Ortone city thought the portal, but awoke here, near this place. I have no idea where I am currently.

It is really interesting how everyone automatically learns common language the moment they are born. Even though every race has its own language (8 languages in total), we can communicate by speaking in common.

The camp was standing on a small glen, surrounded by trees. It was not big, but comfortable.

The camp consisted of a tent, 3 meters before it an unlit bonfire, with a big tree log near it.

Above the bonfire was an iron caldron. Not far from it stood a low wood table with dry meat. On the table were also a big jug of water, Tea pot, Rye bread, dry forest fruits, a pouch with seasonings, a teacup, a plate, a spoon, a fork and a knife. On the table not far from the rest of the items, lay a strange stick that emits a red light.

 -The place is not too special, but it is comfortable.-Nanoha said.- It is also surrounded by trees, so it's not that easy to find. - Then she went to the tree log and sat on it. Then she took the big jug with water and poured the water in the caldron. Then she took the stick, put it before the bonfire, said "light up" and the bonfire lit. Then Nanoha put the stick back on the table.

...Could this be the "fire stick" I once learned about?

-Nanoha, are you here by the order of Reodonne kingdom's king, Hotohori?-Asked Lillianna.

-Yes, my mission is to eliminate the local monsters, so they won't attack the travelers and caravans going through here.- Answered Nanoha.

-So, you are all alone here...-Said Lillianna.-…and fighting all those monsters, even though you seem so young...

-I am not alone.-Said the smiling Nanoha. Then she took off her amulet.- I have “Raising heart”.

-Good day.-A voice sounded from the amulet.- My name is “Raising heart”, and Nanoha is my master.

-…Hello…-Lillianna said surprised.

A talking amulet!

-My name is Lillianna.-Then she looked closely on the amulet.-...Could this be that staff...?

-“Raising heart” Could change its appearance between a staff and an amulet....-answered Nanoha.

-It is true.-The voice from the amulet said again.

..Pretty convenient...

The weapon can change between a necklace mode and staff mode...

And it can even talk...!

How can a weapon talk?

All I remembered is my name and that I was sucked into a strange black portal. I was lost in an unknown world. Then king Hotohori found me and took me in as his foster child.-then she remembered something-When I told him what I remembered, he began mumbling things. Something about "Portal", "Other world" and "Memory alteration". -...What...? What does that mean...?-Sorry, I just remembered it all of a sudden…- Said Nanoha awkwardly.-After that I was being taught about this world and its history. Well, it would be better to stay in the camp for the night.
