What would you do if, your whole life, you've lived like an insignificant being. Chained up and locked away? Not because of a crime, but because you were feared for

You jolt awake from your sleep to hear the clanking of metal on 

metal, only to see a tray of what looks like food, sitting in front of your door. Licking your dry, crusty lips, you consume the food with great hunger. After finishing, you start crawling back to the corner of the damp room, hugging your knees close to your chest. You sit there, waiting for it to come, and soon after, it finally does. The sounds of keys unlocking the door echo in your ears and you look up towards the door, your eyes meeting a man in shiny steel armor. “Today is the day of your execution.”

The "blurb" was a little too short for my liking--and that's a good thing.

Your decision to tell this story in the second person forced me to immediately identify with the protagonist. The hairs on the back of my neck were getting ready to stand up when I got to the end of your blurb.
