Running From My Fate

Running From My Fate

A Poem by Nur Syamilah
"

Not really sure if this could be considered a vampire or werewolf poem? But anything is possible in the supernatural world!

"
I'm running through a forest,
It's dark, I cannot see,
I look over my shoulders,
There are red eyes staring at me.

His laughter is like a rumble,
Shaking the core of my heart,
It was mocking yet velvety,
But that was only the start.

His kind are vicious,
They are heartless and cold,
But their beauty are alluring,
And they will never grow old.

I'm like a prey in his eyes,
And he's the predator in mine,
He plays with my very soul,
Making shivers run up my spine.

I kept running and running,
Feeling like I'm going nowhere,
Exhaustion consuming my body,
As branches hooked into my hair.

I cried as his laughter became louder,
I was afraid of meeting my terrible fate,
I crashed to the ground and came face to face,
With the monster I must call mate.
