Unexpected MeetingA Chapter by Bebi Deru
The girl stopped in front of Ara wearing a black tank top and flannel bottoms, her black hair pulled into a braid that fell over her shoulder. "Name's Arina. Who are you?" Ara looked at the girl and said.
"Ara, my name is Ara." "Ara huh? Cute name," Arina said with a smile. "Heard you want to leave." Ara looked around her and said. "Shhhh they will hear you." Arina busted out laughing and smiled. "They don't care what I do. They stay out of my way. But the way out is through the basement." "The basement?" Ara said. "Yup." Ara looked at Arina and noticed a stone grey mark poking from under flannel bottoms. "Are you ok?" Ara asked her confused. "What?" Arina said then she saw what Ara ment and sighed. "Oh that. Don't worry about it. I was attacked so...." Ara perked up. "By what?!" Arina looked at Ara confused by her curiosity. "You won't believe me. So don't worry about it." Arina said, walking in the direction of the library. Ara stepped in front of her and grabbed her arms. "Ow!" "Try me!" Ara said, excitement showing on her face. Arina looked around and sighed, she leaned in and whispered in her ear. "Gargoyle by the name of Micheal. I killed it though but not before it almost sliced me open." Arina said with a cringe. Ara gasped and yelled. "Me too! I was attacked to!" The girl pulled away from Ara forcefully and put her hand on the grey mark. "Your kidding me! Is this some kind of joke?! Your pulling my chain Ara!" Ara shook her head. "No! No I'm not! I'm telling the honest to God truth Arina! Please believe me! The Gargoyle who attacked me was named Rafeal! Arina please believe me!" Arina shook her head, her green eyes shinning. "Leave me alone Ara! Leave me alone!" Arina turned and ran back the way she came. "Arina!" © 2015 Bebi Deru |
