Peace

Peace

A Poem by Regan Meade

Pink petals flitter through the air,

Dancing with the spirits of the wind.

They are the sprites of Earth, children of the mother.

They are the original dancers, singers, and inventors.

I smile as the petals dance and spin in circles over the water,

Through the trees their laughter rings.

To you it is but a whistleing howl but to others it’s a symphony of beauty.

I join in, in their laughter hiding a secret tale that is different for all.

Sadly I must leave this sight alone.

The day is slowly ending and my family is calling me home.

Night is setteling over the Earth.

The sprites  disappear into the wood.

Maybe one day I will come back to see this sight.

But the chances are slim.

The sprites are never the same day to day.

And their dances change.

Maybe one day I will see this dance again

But tomorrow I will join in on a whole new one.

The scenes today bring peace of mind.

One day of calming peace.
