Judge me fairly

Judge me fairly

A Poem by Regan Meade

Blades Clash with tiny flares of angry heat

leaping from one side to another,

Blood is inevitable,

How much depends on the leader’s depth perception,

Some decisions can make or break

            The battle of prowess.

Split seconds from defeat and achievement,

Too close for those on the home front to see clearly,

Judgement is clouded by misinformation, greed,

fancy dinners with bright lights, and fake smiles,

Just when the cloud couldn’t be lifted

Pure intentions and compassion make a dent,

Blades will always slam against each other,

Each how and when is questioned by the audience

But the falsity of a new leader’s mind and mouth

will always be met with a blunt shield.

this reads like a good vs. evil. you long to be treated fairly. you have been misjudged in the past and were forced to protect yourself. you have good intentions and compassion and that is the difference between them and you. this is pretty cool. i enjoyed it and you wrote it so well. excellent.
