Fiend

Fiend

A Poem by MikiMoore

Crystal sparrow in the wind

When will you come to my window again?

I know your call I know your -

Face

Handprints racing on a windowpane,

I feel your mud hidden in my veins

I may be blind but I can be made to

See

I may be blind

But I can feel your hand in mine

I may be blind

I will catch your wing this time

Crystal sparrow in the wind

My unkempt hair is free again

I can feel my fangs return

And I can sense your heartstrings turn

And the golden leaves that swing

Beneath the angels in the trees

Try so hard and violently

To catch your feet in the breeze

I may be a fiend

Chasing your scent in the autumn breeze

I may be a fiend

But it's things like these that we do to be free.
