I'm really liking this book so far XD I have to write more....But then again...I should write more Saving Trekka....PSH!!! Anyways, enjoy!! :D

Chapter Two

When I opened the classroom door everyone was already at their desks, staring at the board.

I held my breath and tried to slide in quietly without the teacher noticing.

“Ahh, Misaki. So, you’ve decided to join us?” A cold voice came from behind me.

I bit my lip and turned around slowly. “Mrs.Kagamine...Sorry you see, this morning I had-”

“No excuses Mrs.Harconna, now go to the courtyard immediately.” She hissed.

I blinked. “Mrs.?”

“There is a selection today and you have been picked to be in it.” She scowled. “But starting tomorrow you have isolation.”

A huge wave of panic flooded through my body and I began to tremble.

I gave a quick bow and walked out into the hallway, heading the opposite way I came. My knees where shaking uncontrollably and my breathing became panting as I walked towards the courtyard.

Calm down! Calm down, Misaki! Your not going to be chosen! Nobodies even looked in your direction before...I thought frantically.

I hurried down the hallway and stopped at the end, turning to face the wall to my right. After a few seconds a small beep came from the wall.

“Name?” Cam a bored lady’s voice from the wall.

“Misaki Harconna.” I said flatly.

“Come in,” She said lazily.

There was a loud hissing sound and a puff of smoke. WHen the smoke cleared the wall was gone and a set of stairs going underground were in front of me.

I brushed my fingers through my hair nervously and began going down the stairs.

Selections always take place in the courtyard...It’s not actually a courtyard at all, it’s more like an underground room that we call a Courtyard. The selections are always held in secret. And the Vampires are always ugly and old...

My head snapped up as I reached a big white door. I took a deep breath and pushed it open.

The selection had already begun, everyone was lined up tallest to shortest with their hands clasped behind their backs.

I could hear somebody walking slowly in front of them but I couldn’t see who it was. I took a deep breath and tiptoed towards the middle where I was supposed to stand. The boys that were in my spot took one look at me and scooted over to make room. I stood up straight and clasped my hands behind my back.

I glanced sideways and saw the Vampire. My mouth dropped a little. He was young! I mean, not like 20 or 30 young but 16-17 young! Most of the Vampires I’ve ever seen are all wrinkly and old. But this guy...His calm face had no wrinkles, he didn’t smell weird, and about all he had a rockin body...I mean, a hunky surf-boarder would look like a baby next to this guy!

“Ahh. Mrs.Harconna. You finally decided to join us?” Mr.Izuriu said.

Mr.Izuriu is in charge of scheduling and hosting all of the selections. He’s nothing but rich jerk. He always wears expensive clothes and talks in a snotty voice like he’s better than everyone.

I stepped out of the line and dropped to my knees in a bow.” Please, forgive my tardiness, Sir.” I said hurriedly.

He snorted. “Get up and stand back in line girl. No one told you to leave you place.” He commanded.

“No- Wait. Stand up.” A cool voice instructed kindly.

I shivered and stood up straight.

The Vampire laughed softly. “Relax.” He said.

I looked at him and almost gasped in surprise. I thought he looked good from a distance but up close...He was gorgeous! His dark silver eyes were so captivating, it was as if they were bottomless, and his hair...His short black hair with bangs that fell just above his eyes...Just looking at him made me wanna melt.

He stared straight at me for a moment and smiled. Then his body blurred and he was suddenly in front of me, bending down so his face was in the crook of my neck. I froze as he inhaled a deep breath and bit my neck lightly. I shut my eyes hard and clenched my fists as he pulled away.

I heard him laugh lightly before saying, “It’s her. I choose her.”
