A Jinchuriki's Tears- Ch.20

Just a few chapters to go! Bear with me guys! ^_^ Hehehe. BOOM!! In one chapter I successfully brought in Hinata and Shikamaru! But Shika was just a bonus XD Haha. ENJOY!

Chapter 20

“2 more days! Are you excited, Misaki?” Yuki asked.

I nodded. “It should be interesting. I can’t wait to become a Chunin.” I said happily.

His eyes were filled with excitement.

“I wish I could enter...” He trailed.

“Just wait, when you get out of here, you can enroll in the Academy and then you can become a ninja! Don’t worry.” I said.

He shook his head. “It will take at least 16 weeks for my arm to heal. And by the time I’m out of this cast, it will be to late to enroll.” He said mournfully.

I frowned and walked over to him, gently grabbing his left arm and looking at the cast.

The break doesn’t seem to serious...Probably just a snap in the middle...Not to bad...

“Hey, what would you say if I told you I could get you out of here in less than 3 days?” I smiled.

He glanced at me and laughed sadly. “As if, don’t tease me you idiot.”

I ignored that comment. “Just let me see your arm and leave it to me. Kay?” I smiled.

He shrugged, “Yeah, whatever.”

I placed my right hand on his arm lightly, focusing all of my chakra into that hand, performing a ninjutsu to heal his arm.

I clenched my jaw, d****t. It’s not enough!

I think I could be of assistance here. Ryuu said smoothly.

I smiled and poured Ryuu’s chakra into Yuki’s arm. I heard him gasp in surprise as his arm healed before his eyes. Alright, enough. Pull out before he get’s hurt. Ryuu instructed.

I did as he said, taking back all of the chakra I put into him. I took my hand off his arm and smiled. 

“How does it feel?” I asked.

“It...It feels like it’s healed...Like nothing happened...” He said slowly.

I laughed and headed for the door. I heard him shift behind me and glanced back.

“Wait, where are you going!?” Yuki said grabbing my wrist.

I looked at him. His eyes were full of panic and fear.

“You’re not leaving me are you?” He asked hurriedly.

I laughed. “Come on, kid. I’m not gonna leave you like that. Don’t worry. Call the nurse when I leave. And whatever you do, don’t tell them I’m the one who healed you. Alright?” I winked at him and opened the door, walking out as he hit the call button.

I shut the door and heard footsteps coming down the hall. I smiled and made the handsign of the Tiger.

“Teleport.” I said lazily.

I found myself outside the hospital. I smiled and put my hands behind my head, walking down the main street and towards my house.

Good luck, Yuki. I thought happily. You will be strong. I know it.

“Hey....Misaki.....” A small voice said in front of me.

I looked up, “Oh, hey, Hinata. What’s up?” I said happily.

She smiled faintly. “H-H-Hello. How are you?”

I laughed. “Come on now, don’t be so shy. I promise I don’t bite.” I chuckled.

She laughed quietly. “I-I’m sorry...” She trailed.

I laughed again, “So, how are things with you and Naruto going?”

She blushed. “What!? W-wh-what things??”

I laughed. “That bad huh? Don’t worry about it to much though. Naruto’s a knucklehead, he’ll figure it out eventually.” I said reassuringly.

She nodded her head faintly. “The Chunin Exams are coming up....” She began.

I nodded lazily.

“Are...You...Scared?” She muttered.

I laughed. “Oh come on. I’d never get scared over something as simple as the Chunin Exams. What’s there to be scared of?” I chuckled.

She blinked. “Y-you could die...People die in these exams...” She said worriedly.

I smiled wryly at her. “That’s the thing. I’m not going to die. I know that for a fact. So I have no reason to be scared.” I said happily.

She looked at me almost desperately. “How do you know you won’t’ die?”

“Because I know I won’t. I know I can do it. I believe in myself and I know I’m strong enough. It’s as simple as that.” I said. Then I pointed to her. “You believe in yourself to, Hinata. Don’t give up before the fights started.” I laughed.

She looked at me fleetingly. “But how do I know if I’m strong enough?” She asked.

I smiled. “Come on. You already are strong enough. Besides-”

“Can you help me??” She interrupted.

I blinked. “Help you?”

“Please...Train with me...” She said weakly.

I looked at her blankly. “Uhhh....Sure....When do you wanna-”

“Tomorrow? Would th-that be okay?” She asked.

I smirked. “Sure. I’m sure everyone’s gonna be doing last minute training. Where do you wanna do it? The training field?”

She nodded. 

I laughed. “Alright. Be ready. I don’t go easy.” I chuckled walking away.

I heard her move behind me. “Thank you so much, M-Misaki! I...I won’t let you down!” She called.

I laughed again.

Training with a Hyuga...This’ll be fun...I thought excitedly.

Suddenly something jumped on my back and latched their arms around my neck. I thrashed once but relaxed immediately when I noticed who it was.

“Yuki?” I said in disbelief.

He laughed. “You sound scared. Do I detect a hint of fear?” 

I rolled my eyes. “What are you doing here? And...Why are you on my back?” I asked grabbing his legs so I could carry him properly.

He relaxed his arms so he wasn’t choking me. “The hospital people let me out early. They said it was a miracle that my arm healed so fast but they didn’t question me about it. And I’m on your back because I jumped up here. What do you think?” He laughed.

I smirked. “You’re a lot happier than a few days ago.”

“Yup. It’s probably because I have a friend now.” He said happily.

I glanced back at the brown haired kid on my back and laughed. “Alright then. Where’s your house?” I asked.

His arms dropped a little. “I don’t have one.” He said quietly.

I smiled. “Then I guess your just gonna have to stay with me.” I laughed.

He bounced happily. “Really??? You’d really do that??” He asked excitedly.

I shrugged. “Sure kid. But don’t mess up my place.” I said carelessly.

He laughed but stopped and leaned back a little.

“Hey, careful kid or I’ll drop you.” I said as he shifted his weight.

“Why are you wearing boys clothes?” He asked slowly.

I looked at him and set him down slowly, looking him up and down. He was wearing black shorts and a blue t-shirt with black stripes.

“These are my only pair.” I said sticking my tongue out at him. “I got them from a friend.”

He smiled. “A....Boyfriend?” He asked slyly.

I laughed and hit him on the head lightly. “No.”

He rubbed his head. “Hey, that hurt.” He said sadly.

I rolled my eyes. “I barely hit you. Now get on, you need to take a bath and get the dirt off of you.” I said, bending down so he could climb on my back. He jumped on and pulled my hair a little.

“I hate baths. Why do I have to take one?” He said stubbornly.

“Because you’re dirty. Everyone has to take baths dude. Just live with it.” I laughed, walking towards my house.

“Ughhhh. Hey, do you have spare clothes for me?” He asked lazily.

I shook my head. “I only have this pair for myself. But I’ll find something before you get out. Don’t worry.” I said looking around.

He sighed and looked over my shoulder, “Who’s that?” He asked pointing in front of us.

I looked forward. “That’s Shikamaru. He was in my class.” I said. “Heyyyy, Shikamaru!!!” I called.

He glanced over at me and sighed. “Hey, your that Misaki kid that was in my class. What do you want?” He asked lazily.

I rolled my eyes. “What’s up? We never really got a chance to talk before.” I said smoothly.

He looked at me weird. “Uhhh...Nothing’s up. Just waiting for Ino and Choji to meet me here for training. What’s up with you? And what’s with the kid?”

“I’m heading home. This kid’s name is Toshiyuki. I saved him a couple a days back.” I said.

He nodded. “So he’s the one that got you landed in the hospital? What a drag.” He said carelessly.

I looked at him, “Sure, I guess. Hey, do you know where I can find cheap clothes?” I asked.

“Why would I know where to find cheap clothes? I’m a guy remember?” He said stubbornly.

“You wear clothes right?” 

“Yeah but-”

“Where did you get them?” I asked slowly.

He sighed. “Ugh, such a drag. Go straight, take a left. The stall’ll be down there somewhere. And that’s it.” He said rubbing his neck.

“That wasn’t so hard. Thanks. We have to get going now. He’s gotta take a bath.” I said, trying to hold back a laugh.

“Hey! Don’t go announcing it to the whole world!” Yuki said stubbornly.

“Oh calm down, it’s just Shikamaru.” I said walking past Shikamaru.

“Thanks Shika!” I said over my shoulder.

“Don’t call me Shika!” He called.

I laughed and kept walking as Yuki angrily hit me over the head while saying something like, Don’t just tell everyone about me, and stuff like that.
