Fearful Symmetry

Fearful Symmetry

A Poem by Kingsley M. U. Obike
"

A reflection on the Blessed Sacrament held in a monstrance

"

       Scattered star,

Uniformly built,

Central Nucleus

Abundance filled.

Gleaming element,

Glowing metal,

Royal gift,

Shape-like petal.

Tortured instrument,

Mystically transformed,

Humanity’s transgression,

Gracefully reformed.

Divine presence,

Struggling feeling,

Tormented soul,

Eternally seeking.

Veering gaze,

Forever seeing,

Beyond perfection,

Spotless being.

Sweet sacrifice,

Truth inviolate,

Everlasting love,

Word incarnate.

Glorious song,

Sorrowful poetry,

Joyful adoration,

            Fearful symmetry.
