Melt

I see your icy walls,

I see all of your pain,

And I’ve seen you fall.

You’re crying in the rain.

 

Now you’re lost and confused

Others have let you down

You’re beaten and abused

And you’re about to drown.

 

Can you let down your guard,

And take your walls down low?

I know that it is hard

But I won’t let you go

 

Please accept my embrace

Let it melt all your ice

Please let me lift your face

You are worth any price.

 

I won’t leave you alone

I’ll be there when you cry

In storms I’ll be your stone.

And I won’t say goodbye.

This is the other half to the story I wrote with my poem Ice, told from the other side. This is dedicated to a very dear friend of mine. I just hope I can be this to her.
