Set Them FreeA Poem by Mike WolfeThere are more slaves in the world today than ever before. It's time this evil endedShe’s just one, one of millions And most of them are just children She tries to be strong, tries to be brave But she is nothing more than a slave It didn’t end with the Civil War It’s here, and it could be right next door Some sick monster taking kids captive Torturing them to make them passive Selling their innocence at a price To men just to feed their twisted vice There are more slaves than ever before Don’t ignore their cries, this I implore Will we be a voice to the voiceless? Or deliver hope to the hopeless? Now we must refuse to be silent And we must not ever be quiet Jump in the ring and come join the fight Give these poor and abused girls the light We must go and set these captives free Let’s open their eyes and let them see Shine a light on
slavery. Set the 27 million free. © 2014 Mike WolfeAuthor's Note
