His watch

A day of play
Just daddy and his little man
The boy stops just to say
"Daddy, you're my best friend"

"Buddy, you're my best friend too"
The daddy replies
"Daddy, I wanna be just like you"
To this, tears filled the daddy's eyes

"I wanna wear a suit and tie"
He then glances at his daddy's wrist
"And a watch to tell time"
"Daddy, that one I love the best"

His daddy's heart filled with joy
"You know what little man?"
"Your my number one boy"
Then he took the boys hands

"Do you mind playing alone?"
"It will only be for awhile"
"No problem"
The boy said with a smile

The dad went inside
To tell mommy what there son had said
But When he returned outside
He found his son dead

It was a drunk driver
That took the boys life
He just ran him over
He never thought twice

Daddy lost his mind
Mommy did too
In so little time
The little boys life was through

They dressed him in a suit and tie
Just as he had always wished
And when his daddy told him goodbye
He placed his watch on the tiny boys wrist

Oh No! Mike this is heart breaking. I wasn't sure what the ending would be, but it hit like a tornado. Powerful writing and there's a message here....never put off doing things or telling people how you feel. We just never know when, where and how our ending will come..

F**k you almost made me cry, and i don't even like kids WHAT THE F**K YOU DOING TO ME LOL.
Such a touching sweet sad little peace, i felt the love and bond between father and son.
The way the little boy looked up to hes dad so much was adorible.
Very emotional touching read you had me the whole way through....
Wasn't expecting the ending though truly sad but great ending.
