The darknessA Poem by MikeVI wrote this on a whim
The darkness imprisons me to the point of exhaustion
The light seeps through the tiny cracks Only to give me hope where there is none I lye still awaiting my doom Death surrounds me Yet I feel no gloom I stare into the darkness, praying to survive There's no one to hear me But the ghosts of those that have died I hear footsteps, drawing ever so near They're coming to kill me But i feel no fear Slowly the knob begins to turn I will not give up without a fight A lesson they will soon learn I hide in the darkness, where no light hits They walk inside I raise my fists I rush, flailing my arms all around But there's nobody there Not a soul to be found I awake, lying in my bed I realize I am safe It was all a dream in my head © 2013 MikeV |
