Are we as the fish?

It's been eight minutes and already iv thought of more. A fish has a five second memory span, or some s**t like that. If the fish is hungry, it thinks it's been hungry it's whole life, if it's happy then it thinks it's been happy and when it's dying it thinks it's been dying it's whole life. So, does this make the fish non existant? If we turn all our life into a memory, then how much do we not remember? Are we like fish to another dimension? All we know is what and when we are, that moment. So when we die is dying all we really will know? Again, I can't explain the depth in which I see these thoughts.
