In or out?

Am I better to watch from the outside, then through my own eyes.    On movies what we see is not what the actors see. We see them in 2d and as a whole and they the actors see in 3d and they see only what there eyes limit them to see. So my question is this, when an actor watches there movie and sees all that was all around him which he couldn't see, is it better to see as a viewer or was it better to live it??
