That's OkayA Poem by Mike ScintoI'm in a dark place, but that's okay.I’m in a dark place, it was made exactly to my specifications. I paid a large some of money for it, and it’s just right. There is no view, and no fireplace, no kitchen, no bedroom, no bathroom. I created this place, on a patch of land I’d been cultivating for quite a while. But then the bubble burst, and the land lost all its value. So I built myself this one-story house, a little box on a hill overlooking a lake. It’s raining right now, so I can’t see the lake. But that’s fine, I like the rain I picked this spot because it rained so much. I’m sad, in here, just they way I wanted to be. The walls are blue, the perfect shade to compliment my chair in the corner. I would read, but there are no lights. That’s okay, though, because my eyes are going anyway. I’m alone, but that’s for the better. You see, I only have one chair, and I wouldn’t want to make someone stand. So it’s good that I’m alone" I won’t be a bother. I’m in a dark place, it’s my dark place. I could leave, if I wanted to but I don’t want to. © 2014 Mike ScintoAuthor's Note
