Mike Emil Presents an Episode of ‘Idiots in Broad Daylight’

A Poem by Mike Emil

By Mike Emil

Cars that drive themselves today

Because people are getting too stupid to drive

For themselves

For anyone

Can’t find the brakes, housewife?

Can’t put down the cellphone

Oh, yea of shirt and tie?

I am a romantic scientist

Speaking of pre-cambrian ages

When creatures couldn’t use oxygen

And they had no brakes whatsoever

Or window washing fluid for that matter

Much less a damn car

That will brake and drive for you

Because you are all lazy and stupid

Gary Busey is leagues above you all!

Calling Jet Jaguar! Calling Jet Jaguar!

Come help us now!

Our cars won’t go

And we don’t know why

We can’t fix them

Because we are stupid

And don’t know how!

Gary Busey! Gary Busey!

Be here for us - Run Jet Jaguar

Like a big robot bus!
