Larry the Labrador

Was a stupid dog by any means

And by that I mean real stupid

All dogs are stupid

Hence the name dog

I know ‘dog’ has other lowly connections

Obedient

Animal

Base

But Larry was just stupid

Even for a dog

 

He was a black Labrador

But doubt he knew it

Not because dogs are color blind

Larry was just too stupid

For me to think

He knew it different

Black or white

As he might know different

Day of night

He was stupid

Even for a dog

 

His real name was Lucien

But he didn’t know the difference

He’s NOT my dog anyway

And I don’t care a bit for him in reference

Larry is a stupid name

Even for a dog

wow what a nice funny poem with all the music going through the lines and the musical rhyming. i really like it
