blaze

A Poem by Michael of Gilead
"

the time of the year

"

Slanted sunlight of muddled gold

Shines through my window

Brown, yellow and reddish marks of a

summer gone, wind smeared across the russet grass

Smell of dust mixed in the breeze

Charcoal with the scent of rain

Crimson sunsets, crystalline moonshine

Ground crinkles under my feet

Old Oaks rain acorns

As cold settles deep

Autumn is undoubtedly my favorite season. I love everything about it and your poem captures all of the magic and wonder of the season. Very nicely done!

Perfect setting created by your imagery in this poem. What a wonderful time of year it is.
