So

So

A Poem by Michael of Gilead
"

What gods are ever fair

"

This can not be

This will not be

Lamentation of the ages

Rings out

“Why not? “

Pleading cries fall from

The deaf eared gods who smile maliciously

“Just because.”

In unspoken veracity

The rose withers

I do not accept this!

Bellows mortal man, fist raise on high

“It is not our care if you do.”

Two hearts pulled from bond

For no other motive than capricious whim

The gods of situation and circumstance grin

I can really feel this write. Pulling and tugging. Makes one think what they have really & not to take things for granted. Least that is what I got out of this write. Wonderfully written.

Really like this poem. I like how you cover both angles so well. Such a pleading from the simple man and the ever powerful echo from the gods from above. You show very well how nothing is ever truly fair. Good write.
