So

So

A Poem by Michael of Gilead
"

What gods are ever fair

"

This can not be

This will not be

Lamentation of the ages

Rings out

“Why not? “

Pleading cries fall from

The deaf eared gods who smile maliciously

“Just because.”

In unspoken veracity

The rose withers

I do not accept this!

Bellows mortal man, fist raise on high

“It is not our care if you do.”

Two hearts pulled from bond

For no other motive than capricious whim

The gods of situation and circumstance grin

Wonderful piece of writing here:)
situations are not in our hands..
all mighty god will do own his own...
we all get more than we should get
and all want more than we get...
its always unbalance situation between us and god..

Sometimes its difficult to understand the will of the gods. This seemed to be an outcry of injustice that I understand all to well. Very well written.

Maybe Nicotine, and maybe like humans to ants, living up high blinds them?

If only Gods live here on earth, perhaps they would understand.

Thank you Azurefire, yes it does not mean "a god" but more to situations/circumstances that cause these problems for us, set against classic Greek mythology.

The idea that gods think they are above us is central to the poem. I don't instantly assume you mean real gods either, it could apply to a number of different situations, which I like. Bosses and employees, teachers and pupils. It's a simple poem in some ways with one direct message, but it's clear and concise and well set against this notion of 'gods'.
