The Reprieve

Lucky you!” she exclaimed, “I've looked around and don't see any mistletoe anywhere.

I suppose that means you don't have to kiss me.”

The boy wiped his forehead, feigning a sigh of relief.

Whew!” he said, “I thought for a moment I was a dead man.”

The couple walked along the marbled floor of the airport, making special notes of people they passed by.

Look!” she said, “I think that man with the long, dark coat might be an international spy.”

They laughed as they walked.

I think,” said the boy, “he is carrying a hidden camera inside his suitcase!”

They continued, walking shoulder to shoulder, nudging one another as they went toward the exit.

The clock struck midnight.

Us males never grow out of that pretence we had as kids that we escaped near death when we all know we wanted that kiss more than anything but couldn't say so because our male friends would tease us towards mortification.
Fast forward to when we are grown up, or as close to it as we'll ever get and we again pretend to be all shy and bashful I'm from of a lady, betwigged with mistletoe... Except this time it can be called sextly talk and role playing, when in fact the only ones acting are the women who try their best to get us to grow up, but inevitably always fail! 😃

Very intriguing, makes you wonder why he was carrying the hidden camera, cute fun write. Nicely written and thought out.
