![]() Crazy Lady on the StairsA Poem by M.E.Lyle![]() More silliness![]() Crazy Lady on the Stairs
Down the stairs she falls Gracefully she calls
"I've fallen and I can't get up." As I drink from my coffee cup
Such an awkward looking creature Like characters from a horror feature
Books scattered everywhere At the bottom of the stair
"You oughta' be more careful," I say. "It's dangerous falling down that way."
Lifting her off the ground She screams an awful sound
"It's broken you idiot, can't you see?" As it dangles there in front of me.
"Sorry, but I didn't know. Should I stay or should I go?"
She shouts and gives command This woman who can not stand.
"You leave and I"ll cast a spell Sending you straight to...well.
I'll fill you full of lead," she said. I'll make you wish you were dead
Smash your tiny little head Or maybe squash your brains instead."
"But Mom, I'm your only son. I ought to call nine-one-one?"
I love you Mom, You're still number one.
